I want to replace my tubes in my f-50 what do you guys suggest to get, I want a good hard gain sound and a smooth clear clean channel. What name brand on power tubes and pre amp tubes.
I would go with TAD 6L6GC ( I picked up mine from The Tube Store) great sounding 6L6.
As for the Pre Amp, If your want to experiment with NOS Try just one in V1, but if your not getting any strange noises, you don't have to replace them.
