Gain mods for R2 for a Mark III?

Does anyone know of good gain mods for R2 for a Mark III? I like R2, but it is usless to me since it doesnt have enough gain and I dont want to use a pedal. Are there any DIY mods...I am very handy with a soldering iron 8)
