im looking to trade and axis super sport for one of these things used. is that a good idea? i mean buying used digital effects. i just dont know too much about it and ive heard of problems but only vaguely. can anybody provide me with some insight? thanks

so i picked one up and its working out great. super confusing, is there any word of wisdom anybody? the gsystem made playing guitar like piloting a space ship. ive got it up and running but i know it could be better

yes..small bits at a time-are you doing the 4 cable hookup??puts comp/filter in front..others in loop
gtar into g system in
g sys insert send---amp send
amp fx loop send------g insert return
g out----amp fx return

if it "sucks tone" a little, let me know and i will show you how to avoid all the dig conversion in early part of signalchain

I really like the verbs..the delays are killer..even the filter-the effects have a ton of range,so fine tuning is a big plus(some of the presets are too extreme for my tastes)
tcelectronic.com has a user forum now-
what amp(s) are you using it with??

yeah the 4cm is working out nicely but i just get alot of crackling in the lead channel and am having some occasional volume issues between channels. i suppose i could look into the manual but i dont know exactly why it is so id have to do a lot of searching. thanks for all the help, oh and i play it through a mark iv

works great with a IV(I had one until Febuary..)the previous owner may have changed some of the internal settings-I dont have mine in front of me, but there are mzny different parameters (like vol level) that can get you in a place you dont want to be....once you get a hold on how to actually access these parameters, it gets easier...I would look into the settings in your "utilities" bank, check out you "effects routing"..do you have the manual??it took me a while, but I was determined to make it work-that is what it takes-what I do now after having it for 2 years is a simple setup....I have all of the tones I need on one bank, therefore its just like having a pedal board...I have another bank for trick stuff, but i have settled in to finding the 1 reverb I like..the 1 delay I like...the 1 mod I use...howeveer, it isnt near as simple as pedals!!!!

Find the forums section on TC Electronics website and look for the G-System DB...., a fair amount of info on getting things sorted out and what not with the G. Ciao!

I have had mine for a couple of months now and use it with a IV, if you want any settings, I'll be glad to share.
