Hi guys - I just bought a Triaxis/2:90 rig which came with a G-major. I used to have a BOSS GX-700 and loved it with my 5150 amp but that was close to 10 years ago. I was thinking of buying a GP-100 to be used as an effects processor and noise gate with my new rig because I loved the tones from that unit and the ease of use, but wanted to get your opinion on this idea. I have read plenty of discussions on how compatible the G-major is with the Triaxis for the gate and effects, but I have never found a comparison between the G-M and the GP-100.

Please tell me your opinion!

I don't know if there is a software update, but I used to use a GP-100 with an ADA MP-1.

The FX are (or were 12 years ago) top notch, but it was a huge pain in the butt to turn off the preamp for each preset. It made me really mad to program at times because the GP wanted to be in charge and I just wanted the FX.

I now have a G-Major 2 and for the price, the FX are incredible. Sure there are better processors, but this one is super easy to program, very tone friendly and not that expensive.
