I am fairly new to tube amplification and have notice quite the debate in regards to the FX loop on Mesa amps. Is there any issues with running effects in front of the amp rather than through the loop in the back? It sounds like a lot of folks run a boost pedal out front but nothing else, just curios if anyone has compared the pedal placement. Thanks...

delay effects such as, delay, reverb, chorus often works best in the loop and overdrive and distortion pedals works best infront of the amp. It's like this in general for all amps. Of course it might be exceptions but start from having delay, reverb and chorus in the loop and overdive, wha wha infront then you'll most likely get the best sound.
