I have checked the forum and found several posts on this topic. That is the reason for this post because they all say "I think" or "I'm not sure".

rig is a mesa triple rec and the following string of stuff here and there. I run a Tuner, compresser, Dunlop Wha, blues driver, EVH Phase 90, Boss Octave, in front in that order and then a delay and a reverb in the loop. I have purchased a decimator for that mesa "noise" and have heard that it works better in the loop if the mod has been done.

If I do the mod

1. how should all this stuff be set up after the mod?
2. will my solo foot switch still work?
3. will the fx foot switch still work?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Trip Recto also. I've modded it to a serial loop and am very happy with the mod. I did not do the mod my self. I took my amp to my amp tech and showed him the schematics. He used part of the schematics to make it a serial loop, however,he also made my send and mix pots at the back of the amp work!
Now to answer you questions.
1. there is no hard line rule about where to put your pedals, but a rule of thumb is time based pedals go in the loop, like delay, chorus, flanger, phazer, reverb etc. all others are in front. In what order they go is up to you. (reverb pedals are usually last in the loop)
2. The Solo function WILL WORK!!!!!
3. The FX function WILL NOT WORK. However there is a mod to the bigfoot pedal that is supposed to make it work. I haven't tried it cuz it does'nt bug me that it does't work.
Hope this helps
Good luck and let us know how it goes
