Hmm.. in that case. I will just stick to 6L6 1st. So if i wan to change to el34. i just replace the tubes and switch biased to el34 right? sorry im noob at tt. I guess a small mistake can kill the amp easily. U also mention about the KT77, so i can actually use tt tube in the recto?

Yep, just simply flip the switch to go from 6L6 to EL34. You have to make sure though, that you get tubes graded for Mesa amps, since the bias can't be adjusted on them (unless you do a bias mod...the instructions are stickied at the top of the Rectifier main page...then you can use any tube you would like).

You can use KT77s in the EL34 mode if you get the correctly rated tube. They bias the same as an EL34.

It's important to tell your tube vendor that you have a Mesa. If you use non-Mesa rated tubes, it can cause damage to the amp from running too hot. Mesas will handle quite a bit of abuse, but you never know, so it's just safer to go with a Mesa rated tube.

Most tube vendors can supply you with Mesa rated tubes, just make sure to tell them you have a Mesa.

Im going over to some Shops to purchase 6L6 tubes. I will see what types do they have and then go over to the repair shop and replace them all. I found these brands should be mesa-rated , EH, TAD, Winged-C, Tung-sol. Not sure about JJ.

MY MESA IS FIXED!!. Rock hard for a few minutes and had to go out for a movie. LOL!. Anyway, it's the rectifier tube fault, not the power tubes. I changed those 3 into the 5U4GB-EH tubes. =) Now I'm looking forward to buy a power conditioner and changing the rest of the tubes which are pretty old.
