Looking to sell my Mesa Recto and Formula Pres. Both are in good condition. I haven't gigged out with them. They have stayed in my studio rack during the time that I have them. They do have some rack rash but nothing major. For the Recto Pre I'm looking to $800 obo and the Formula Pre I'm looking to get $400 obo for it. I'm looking to finance a purchase of a TriAxis so I'm not looking for trades but I'm always open to different things.

What amp would you compare the Formula too? Is it more of a Mark type preamp?

Does it have Reverb?

Is there any noise or delay when switching channels?

I've never played one, but have been thinking about getting one for a long time.

Can you get Carlos tone & sustain out of it?

Can you get Mark IV clean tones out of it?

The Formula I believe is based on the Mark series. I haven't played a Mark IV so I can't compare it to that. And I haven't tried to get a Carlo's tone out of it. But I suspect it's possible. The Formula does not have reverb (I'd usually add that via a plugin), I don't notice any delay or noise while switching channels .

Does it sound like a real amp if you are using a good power amp like the 20/20?

Most of the preamps that I've used have sounded a bit sterile and didn't seem to have the same feel as a combo or head.

Heartbreaker is based in someway to mark I...
Mark I---- Heartbreaker ------ Formula

Thanks for the info Spamds. Also the footswitch with the cable will be included.

PRICE DROP. Recto Pre $775 obo and Forumula Pre $375 obo.

Thanks for looking.

I'll take the recto recording preamp. Consider it sold if you can wait till Wed. I sold something on ebay and transferred the money from paypal to my bank account. I guess that was a mistake. I will give you more money than you want for it if you can wait a couple days.
