Koadogg said:Up for sale is Mesa Quad Preamp that I purchased about 5 months ago. The unit was given a clean bill of health from an authorized Mesa Repair Center. He did say that he thinks it is missing a reverb spring in the one tank but wasn’t sure since it functions properly and sounds good. He wasn’t really concerned about it. The tubes (RUBY) were recently changed. The unit is either a 1988 or 1989 year. Dates from both years were written on the one reverb tank. There are the usual scratches on the unit from rack mounting, as would be expected from a 20 year old piece of equipment.
The unit sounds great. I am only getting rid of it since I come to the realization that I am not a rack guy.
I did change out the LED’s to the following:
Rhythm 1: Blue/Green
Rhythm 2: Sunset Orange
Lead 1: Blue
Lead 2: Yellow
EQ 1: White
EQ 2: Red
Also up for sale with the Quad is a Brand New GCX switcher and Like New Ground Control Pro. Both Units are in Mint condition. I have the original boxes, documentation and unregistered warranty cards. I did change out the LED’s in the GCX from the Red LEDs that came with them. The Led’s were changed to the following colors: (Note: Loops 3-8 were changed to correspond to the Quad Channel Colors)
Active: Green
Loop 1: Purple
Loop 2: Purple
Loop 3: Blue/Green
Loop 4: Sunset Orange
Loop 5: Blue
Loop 6: Yellow
Loop 7: White
Loop 8: Red
I am asking for $1500 SHIPPED (Continental US Only) for all three Items (Quad, GCX and GCPro). I’ll throw in the Active 15’ 5 pin Midi cable (to supply power to the GCPro) and patch cables for switching the Quad (GCX to Quad)
If you are interested in the Quad itself, I am asking $800 SHIPPED(Continental US Only). This thing is heavy and expensive to Ship. $800 is what I paid for the unit.
I will consider selling the GCX and GCPro, only after the Quad sells.
