I can do gut shots if you need them

Hey guys,

Can anyone tell if this is a blue stripe or a green? The serial is 249XX and the date on the chassis in marker is 12/89.

Here are a few picks that may help.

Ok all. I spoke with Mike B at Mesa today to get the lowdown on this amp. He said given the serial # and the date code it could be either a blue or a green. The sure way to tell he said was if the outer power tube sockets were wired in pentode or triode. So I opened it up today had a look and took some photos.

As far as I can tell, these sockets are wired pentode making this a green stripe.

While I had it out of the cabinet I had a look at the OT code. It's #562003. According to Boogiebabies on this board it's the same OT as a Mark II C+ with a different part #.

See post about 2/3 the way down http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10308

So both of those are good news.

Thanks,

Lawrence

I'm intrigued by the amp. Would you consider a trade? Otherwise, I'd have to sell my Lonestar rack head outright.

Let me know.

Thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it. However, I need to sell it outright to fund another purchase.

That's cool Lawrence. I'm going to see about finding a buyer for the LS.
