I've got to lose some gear and the Recto needs to go! I cleaned all of the pots, cleaned the flux off the boards, checked the connections and gave it a typical once-over. I then modified it with my "Thunk Mod" which tightens up the mushy low end and focuses the mids and high-mids for a thicker, more present tone. I installed switches with the "Bright Caps" on the gain controls, and I also made the bias adjustable so you can use any power tubes you wish! I replaced all of the power supply caps with German F&T caps, so this head will last another 20+ years before it needs service!
Original footswitch, 2 x Mullard EL34, Mesa preamp tubes, JJ GZ34
I am running it in 50 watts, so that's why there are only 2 power tubes in it.
