Found Halfback 412 Bottom w help from halfback fanatic!!!

I am looking for an 80s/90s halfback 4x12 bottom cab. Preferably with either 2 or 4 original EVM-12L speakers and the rounded handles (not the knife edge that say Mesa Boogie).

I'm getting my 4th hb (2nd bottom) this week and I also have a lead on another bottom around here in Raleigh ( 2 MC90's/2 EVM's). I'll let you know something this week if you don't find one before. These are definitely harder to track down than the slants, always have been. People don't want to part with 'em as they sound so damn GOOD !
I'm LOVIN' my roadready all EV bottom cab, it sounds so warm and chunky it gives me goosebumps. I picked it up on the bay a little while back for a song and a dance..well, just a song. :roll:

i had some time at work so i took a peak around craigslist and posted them in the boogie classifieds..... couldnt find any bottom ones though.... i'm going to keep my eye out

You could try building one. I have a link to the plans for a 4x12 EV Thiele cab. You would just need to buy some good plywood and four EV speakers, which shouldn't be too hard.

I have seen the EV plans on the internet before. I just don't have the proper tools (saws, etc.) to do the job. Great idea for someone with the tools and ability. Tolexing a cab where it looks right also seems to be something that can look bad if not done right.

speaking of stage pics, I'll have to ask my other guitarist to shoot me some pics of the last local show we did at Volume 11 here in Raleigh. Only 2 bands but we backlined all of our full stacks of halfback boogies.

...we had 4 full stacks across the back including an 8x10 Ampeg...pssshh. That's 32, no make that 34 :shock: (including a RoadKing combo)
12" MESA speakers cranking some noooiiiissee fueled by 3 dual rec's, a Mark IV and RoadKing combo, sheesh !!! :evil:

I can only describe the experience as HOLY F@$!n SH!*...with a big smile on my face.
