FTSW prob. EQ in Mark 3 red stripe works but not exactly as the manual states. " Graphic Equalizer. The front panel toggle switch offers three choices: EQ OUT, EQ IN (all the time), and EQ AUTO. In the AUTO mode, your Equalizer is programmed to switch-on automatically when you go into the Lead Mode. A final switching choice is to use the optional EQ Footswitch which plugs into the back of the chassis. With it, you can click on the EQ at any time, regardless of how the toggle switch is set". That regardless of how the toggle switch is set is the problem. SYMPTOMS Ch 1 & 2 the Foot switch works except when toggle is in the in or all way down pos.Then theres no change . In ch 3 foot switch only works when toggle is in the center position witch is the out position. It not a big deal to leave it in center pos. But I would like to know if this is nominal or aby normal . Is this a common problem or misprint in the manual or what any answers would be appreciated thanks, and give him a setagive.

Situation normal. The manual is incorrect.
The front panel EQ switch over-rides the EQ foot switch.
(This is also true of all the pull-knobs.)
So, if the front panel EQ switch is "ON", the EQ foot switch does nothing.
When the front panel switch is set to "OFF", the EQ foot switch now works for ALL channels.
When the front panel switch is set to "EQ AUTO", the EQ is engaged automatically when the LEAD channel is engaged.
This also over-rides the foot switch.
IOW, you cannot turn the EQ off with the foot switch when using the LEAD sound if the front panel switch is set to "EQ AUTO".
The part of the manual which states "you can click on the EQ at any time, regardless of how the toggle switch is set", is not true when "EQ AUTO" is engaged on the front panel.
