I can't seem to tell what effect Metallica used on their clean tone for bleeding me and I can't find any information. I've heard people say both and I was wondering if anybody knew which one it was. Thanks!!!

I'm guessing flanger, because it sounds a bit similar to chorus, only with that "hollow" sound. Tubular!
On second thought, maybe a modulated reverb?

I've always played it with both chorus and phaser...sounds very close to me! Boss CE-5 with MXR Phase 90.

I've experimented a lot with the g-major for that sound and its still not quite it...
I have a reverb, flanger and phaser going but its hard to hit the perfect speed/depth - if someone has some know-how for me I'd be glad to hear your settings.
