first "relic" job

o.k., here's some pics. i did this a few years ago. didn't really want to mess w/the fretboard or back of the neck. just honest dirt on the fretboard. sticker on the back from a recent trip to amsterdam. note the countersunk kahler. looks like EVH did it himself. looks hack, but i installed it accurately.

Hey that looks pretty darn good. I like the burn mark at the neck too.

the nicks around the edges look real random

thanks. i would have done some things differently had i known there was going to be so much damned clear base coat.. namely the area over the pickguard near the low E. it's hard to make it look authentic when you've got an eighth inch of poly base! the good thing about relics is that they can be "works in progress". i also took "blackie" off the headstock. sorry, not a fan. love the guitar though!

Some suggestion, fingerboard wear like open chords, like open C-chord, and pentonic Blues in scale of A at the fourth fret.

I took it! I take some pictures later, thanks for the heads up...I love it.
