the mp3 conversion clipped it all to ****
settings are volume 7.5, treble 7 pulled, bass 1, middle 4.7, master 1.5 (moderate), lead drive 8.9, lead master 6.2, reverb .5, prescence 2.9 out to one evm12l

i run the lead master and the r2 a bit higher, i find it just sounds more harmonically rich

Same here, but mine starts sounding really middy honky - just like a Mark IV lol...but yet again, my amp was made in 1994

Your tone is still killer! Keep up the good work!! I wanna hear those settings and setup on a blazing solo!!!

man, I heard my red stripe through an SM57 dry and thought it was the mic I didn't like. I'm starting to think it was the speaker now! (Eminence Legends)

You've got a cool sound going man!

Sounds good man! Pretty similar tone and settings that I have on my red stripe (no coli though :( )

What mic position do you use on your EVM? I'm having a bit of trouble getting a tone I like when micing my EVM up, so i've just been using a Greenback to record instead.

hey thanks guys.
the evm is tricky to mic because of how big the center thing is (brainfart) i just moved it around until it sounded decent, then pulled the mic back a little and adjusted my geq a tiny bit. the only post processing is a compressor with fast attack and low pass set to around 7000. my .wav file has ZERO clipping, but netmusicians only takes mp3 and the converter clipped my sound up :x so if anyone has any tips, i can post two more but no ****** clipping.

Get both!

Here's a quick clip I did with my rig, it sounds ok, but still isn't quite what I'm going for. I'm going to try moving the mic around a bit more. I also need some new strings badly, too bad no one carries 7 string sets locally :?
