Some of my favorite guitar players of all time have used Boogies in the studio ( Lukather, Prince, Timmons), so I decided to check my online local marketplace for any deals.

I recently scored a DC-5 for $400. I cleaned it up, painted in some black on some rusted parts, swapped out the power tubes (2 6L6s , 4 12AX7s), dialed in and fell absolutely in love!

I’ve only had a Fender Blues Jr and a Orange Crush amp previously , and this easily blows both of them out of the water, clean and dirty channels.

Does anyone else own one of these?

Congradulations!! What a great deal!

The DC-5B head was my first Boogie. Never looked back! It's been super reliable for the last 20+ yrs. You'll enjoy it. Does that combo have a C90? For my ears, these amps really shine with those speakers.

I have a 50 caliber. I can see you take very good care of yours too.
