Few Questions regarding the 2CH dual rectifier solo head

1) What year did mesa boogie start to manufacture the 3CH Dual Rectifier?
2) Can one modify the 2 CH DR Solo Head to add that 3rd CH? (crazy, huh?). Mine has the sole Loop Master Volume knob in the front, but the recent DR's have 2 volume knobs.

I think you'd be better off selling your 2ch and buying a 3.

I think you'd be better off selling your 2ch and buying a 3.

The second volume knob on the three channel variety is the solo boost, nice to have! I too have a two channel Dual Rectifier and was considering moving up to three, but I actually liked the sound of my two channel better!

Slam a fuzz box in front of it. That's the easiest way to add another channel.

Mesa Started shipping the 3ch heads in August of 2000. I owned the 1st one in Canada. Sold it because I liked my 2ch better.
