I've seen more bands than I can remember but thought I'd put down some favorites. I kept it to five but it's a free country. I'm a metal head but list whatever...

Top 5
Rollins Band/ Corrosion of Conformity 91

Lollapolooza (2002?) w/ Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Audio Slave, and Jane's Addiction

Ozzfest 98 Coal Chamber, Life of Agony, Tool, OZZY

Soudgarden/ Blind Melon 91

Any Clutch show. Period. Of you haven't seen them go. If you don't know who they are go see em.

Bad performances
Kiss - Crazy Knights tour
Helmet (Great but too short they only played for like 40 minutes and headlined!)
Megadeth
Seven Dust
Everclear - By far the worst band I ever saw

Missed
Pantera - Dime RIP! Still miss him and he was killed in my home town
Slayer
Rage Against the Machine (unless they get back together)
Van Halen - I heard Eddie looks like death warmed over.
Led Zeppelin - OK I was 9 when they broke up but I missed the New York show

Top 5:
Misfits M25 Denver
Warped Tour Kansas City(with Rancid, AFI, Misfits, Guttermouth)
Murphy's Law Kansas City
The Briefs Colorado Springs
100 Demons Albuquerque

Worst:
Agent Orange Denver
Three Round Burst Colorado Springs

Missed:
James Brown Kansas City

   SLAYER
@lakeland civic center in FL. It was where they recorded one of the decade of aggresion cds. One of my friends pic is on the cd.

Randy and SRV  How could I forget. Forgive me....

Randy is probably my favorite guitarist of all time too...

Isn't he buried in San Diego? I'm headed that way next week.

Best
#1 - Nirvana w/ Butthole Surfers (1993)
#2 - Metallica w/ Fight, Candlebox, Suicidal Tendencies (1994)
#3 - Primus w/ Mike Watt (1994)
#4 - Pantera w/ White Zombie (1996)
#5 - Smashing Pumpkins (Melon Collie Tour, 1996)
#6 - Festival Tie
* 1995 Warped Tour (NOFX, Pennywise, Deftones, Rocket From the Crypt, Unwritten Law, Lagwagon, Fluf, Dick Dale, Blink 182, Suicide Machines, et al.)
* 2003 Bonnaroo (Ben Harper, Neil Young, James Brown, Moe., Galactic, MMW, G Love, The Roots)
* 2006 Bonnaroo (Radiohead, Beck, Tom Petty, Oysterhead, Les Claypool, Blues Traveler, Soulive, Ben Folds, Cypress Hill)

and countless other shows i'm forgetting

Worst
#1 - Chokeborg - opening up for Nirvana. Only redeeming moment was when the singer did a front flip, underrotated and landed on his back, rendering him motionless (and voiceless) for a little while.
#2 - Limp Bizkit, Warped Tour '96. Practically booed off the stage it sounded so bad.

Rage is playing here in SF in a couple of months. I already got tickets and it's only two blocks from my apartment!!

:D

Missed - John Lee Hooker

I am such an ***... he has a club here called the Boom Boom Room and he used to play there all the time. I kept telling myself 'gotta get down there and see this legend'. Never did and then I got the news that he died. I still kick myself real hard in the *** every once in awhile over this.

Best:

1. Metallica, "And Justice..." tour, 1989
2. Sigur Ros, "Takk" tour, 2005-6 (three shows)
3. Tool, "Lateralus" tour, 2002
4. Curve, "Cuckoo" tour, 1993
5. Sisters of Mercy, "Bite The Silver Bullet" tour, 2006

Worst:

1. The Cult, opening for Metallica in 1989
2. Jehu, opening for Isis on 2007
3. Smashing Pumpkins, 1997
4. Radiohead, 1994

Funniest:

A band called Haunted Garage in 1993. Some bands have a smoke machine. Haunted Garage had a blood machine-- it was one of those rotating lawn sprinklers. I got a piece of the singer's face after it exploded. You kind of had to be there.

Best things I've heard James Hetfield say on stage:

"Whoa, I just about puked there."

JH: "Everybody here got the new album?"
Crowd: "YYEEEAAAAAH!"
One guy: "NOOOOO!"
JH: "Why not?"
One guy: "I'm broke!"
JH: "****, steal it." (This was a few years before Napster, obviously...)

#2 Dio - Last In Line tour ('82 i think... man i'm old :(
#3 Metallica - ...And Just For All tour ('89)

#5 Iron Maiden - Dance of Death? ('03 i think)

Worst -
#1 Poison - opening for KISS in '92
#2 Megadeth - Class of the Titans '90

Missed -
#1 Ozzy (with Randy Rhoads)
#2 Bon Jovi (still have a chance)
#3 Van Halen (probably not now lol)
#4 RATM
