So I got an ART HD131 31 band EQ for Christmas. I had never used an EQ with a guitar amp before and all I can say is WOW! I plugged it in to the loop of my RK and finally, I think I found the missing ingredient. Almost too much tonal control! 
The aggression is more so, it's tighter sounding, palm mutes are awesome. I feel like I can finally coax any sound out of my RK that I'm looking for. I especially have a new love for vintage mode channel 3. Modern is great too, I feel like I can cut back the gain now and get a better tone. Just a really great enhancement of everything!
I'm sure many of you have already had this experience, just wanted to share mine.
