Has anyone used their F30 with an extension?

I like mine, but sometimes wish it had a fuller sound. I was wondering what results could be had, or if the "lack of fullness" is characteristic of the amp itself.

It's plenty loud, just thin at those volumes.

I've heard good things about a thiele with the F30. I myself have only tried the amp through a Mesa 3/4 back 1x12 and it sounded huge! I've been tinkering with making the F30 sound better with the combo itself. You saw my thread about closing the back up using a custom cut piece, but here is a new idea that Zeemo came up with and I tried it out:

Yeah that seemed like a good idea. There's not much space back there to begin with, and the pouch & reverb take what little space there is. But iId prefer to not start taking the thing apart.

I think I am going to rig up my Fender Deluxe Reverb as an extension and test it out.

I also wonder if you can use a PA speaker as an extension?

Something like this could fill out your sound nicely. I bet it would be pretty easy to build one too - it's not a complicated design.

I use a theile 1x12 with mine (EV). Fills it in nicely and when I use it at a gig I will mic the theile.

So if you're plugging in two 8 ohm speakers (including the internal speaker), do you plug them both into the 4 ohm plugs?

Very cool! I'd like to hear that.

Correct.

The sound enhancer seems like a cool idea, but i'm not sure how the tubes would stay ventilated.

I was wondering the same thing.
