Hey all, new to the forum, great to see such a cool Mesa Community.
I just bought an F-50 head and 2X12 vertical Recto Cab. I am very pleased with this as it is my first tube amp. I have only ever owned 15 watt digital amps mods. and a vox ad30.

So needless to say the tube sound and Mesa experience is very new to me. It seems that my ears are just not used to it.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some settings to try out, with contour and without.
As far as what tone's I really like.....John Petrucci's early years and 6 degrees tone, Satriani-ish tones, Morse, ect.

I would really appreciate a couple of nice starting points to do some tweaking from.
Thanks so much!

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the amp. You will find the answers to ALL of your questions here:

Enjoy.

Great Man, thank you. That's quite a thread concerning the F-50. I think I've been able to dial in a tone I seem to like. Also added a little delay to help with getting a fuller sound.
I might need an eq, but too soon to say....gotta experiment more.
Anyone elses input would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the amp! I had the same predicament as you early this summer. Going from a Line 6 PODxt setup to the real deal.

Your ears will adjust. Tons of info in that HC thread. Hal9000 and DannTheMann have limitless knowledge/tips with this excellent amp.
