Does anyone have experience with using your Mark V with 2 212 cabs? I am told that some people prefer it to a 412. One has popped up on a local classifieds for a great price and I am thinking about picking it up.

I run mine with one Mills 2x12 and will put it up against anything I've heard before. I can't imagine two of 'em at the same time. Of course, the only time I've ever heard mine (or any V) through a 4x12 was at the store, when I bought mine, and it was crazy good sounding at low volumes. It has to kill at stage volumes.

That said; I've never heard any (real) thing bad about the vertical 2x12's and can't imagine two of them would sound bad with the V.

Hook 'em up and let us know...

I ended up buying it. I couldn't pass up such a great deal! The cab was only 6 months old and I got it for almost half of what it costs new. Only thing is it didn't come with the wheels or cover.

I must say...really digging both stacked on top of one another. It sounds so much fuller. Expecially when you step back 6 to 7 feet in front of it. The sound really opens up. I have not tried the Mark V with a 412 before so I don't have any expereince to compare the two. But I defiently recommend anyone looking for an extra cabinet for bigger venue giggs, to try it out. Sounds really nice.

It certainly is a great cab. I have had one now for a while. Around 2 years ago I went from a Marshall 412 to the Mesa Horizontal 212. The sound is so much nicer. Even with a JVM410 that I was using at the time.
