Express 5:50 for metal?

Is anyone using his Express5:50 for metal? and when I say metal, I'm refering to heavy tight tones.

I know it isn't a metal amp per se, but I'm wondering how heavy the expresss can be.

Just throw an EQ in the loop and it'll work very well. I can't match a Rectifier with my 5:50 but it can get pretty heavy with an EQ in there. Night and day difference with it in the loop.

The other guitarist in my band uses a 5:50 head in a 2x12 Recto std and it sounds sick (we're a heavy/thrash metal band).

Exactly what works for me. So easy to dial in, too. Speaker choice is a factor. A nice Recto cab with V30's will go a long way to making this happen.
