So I've pretty much decided I'm gonna get this amp. But upon seeing the sellers, some were selling 5:50 1x12 and others selling 2x12's.. Is there any big difference between the 5:50 1x12 and 5:50 2x12? I've looked up pictures and seen they were exactly the same...
Difference in tone-wise? Money? Size?

The 2x12 has a slightly fuller tone and will deliver it's volume more efficiently as the dual speaker spread is wider.
Down side is it'll weigh more and cost more.
Only you can decide if the tone quality improvement is worth it.
I'd wanna A/B both amps with your own guitars in the store before I decided

I have the 2x12, I loved the 1x12 when I tried it, but I wanted a big sound so I took a chance on the 2x12 having not played one, but knowing Mesa and being so impressed with the 1x12 that I knew I wouldn't be disappointed - I wasn't. Best amp I have ever owned. It does weigh about 70 pounds, but try lugging around 4x12 cabs . . .

The 1 x 12 was all I could carry. I have a cab with an Eminence Tonker that I sometimes connect to it. It sounds good. It takes two trips, but it's easier on my old back!

I just ordered an Avatar 2 x 12 with Hellotone 60's (have the Vintage 30 in my 1 x 12 5:50) just so I can get some shug! out of it. Sounds great now but it lacks when trying to do the Iron Maiden 'gallop'. Can't wait till I get it, it will be a long 4 days!

I have been playing for 30 years and apart from the weight of the 2*12 it's quite simply the best amp I have owned. Stay away from the burn channel unless you really need it. The clean. crunch, and blues channel have it all for me. Add a Boss SD-1 and anythings possible. The dynamics of this amp means it cuts through the mix at low volume. Mic'd up with a Senheiser E606 it's amazing. My amplifier GAS is gone.

Can't agree on the burn channel or the Boss SD-1. If you're a rock/heavy rock player the burn channel is fabulous too. Just gotta keep the bass below 10 oclock :D

2 x 12 for me. Lotsa different overdrive sounds.
The cleans and the reverb make it God's own Twin.
The only minor quibble I have is the Contour.
It's not as effective as the old Graphic EQ IMHO.
Hang ten, hodads.

you have looked at the wrong photo because the 2x12 is much wider, its very noticable, and the knobs are spread out more aswell.

I liked the fullness of the 2x12 but it was too dang heavy. So I purchased the 1x12 AND a 1x12 extension cab. I actually have 2, Mesa 1x12 extension cabs; a widebody 3/4 back and an Express. The widebody, 3/4 back definitely adds some nice bottom end.

I noticed that it cuts thru awesomely as well. I was playing one at a guitar store and this kid had his marshall turned up much much louder than mine. I even turned mine down lower to be polite, but just for fun I would solo over whatever he was playing and both of us were heard easily. I've also noticed that the amp GAS is gone too. It's awesome. Like being cured of a disease. (or syndrome, rather.) Thank you, Jesus.

Have the 5:50 2x12 and love the clean and blues channels. With a Tube Screamer 808 and a Hardwire TS2 Metal Distortion, I can get anything I need.
Haven't played my Roadking II in a month since getting this thing. It's great.
