Experienced Help Please - Differences Mark II C+, III C+, IV

Can someone please tell me what are the differences in the Mesa Boogie Mark series that I just listed?

What exactly does that "C+" mod do to the head?

is it just changing the transformer? Adds more gain? what exactly does it do?

I know that the "C+" mod has to be done by the guys at Mesa and have heard a lot about the Mark II C+. I even seen some Mark III's with that upgrade.

I've never heard of a Mark IV with a C+ upgrade though.

Anyway can someone please tell me what are the main differences between all these 3 amps which im sure are all great.

I was thinking about getting a brand new Mark IV

since they don't sell Mark III's or II's with the C+ any place

I'm basically just wondering what the main differences are.

I'm shooting for a "white snake John Sykes" era tone / Def Leppard type tone.

I heard John Sykes used Mesa Boogie colosseum series amps. If someone has time . Can someone maybe explain what the "colosseums" are all about?

I actually have a Coliseum Mark IIB only the effect loop was modified by Mike Benedelli.

i recently contactes a tech and asked him about a c+ mod for a markIII red stripe. He said its rather a matter of taste. It reduces the gain (lead drive) and treble (treble knob) a bit.
