Each of the current tube manufacturers, without exception, have some real dogs in their respective product lines. Be very skeptical of any dealer who says a particular brand is can't-miss across the board.

Borrowing from Labowsky, Doug is "the dude" hands down.

1) He could have sold me on switching my stock rectifier tubes for gz34s and did not. Score 1

2) Dual recto preamp kit is just amazing.

3) SED =c= 6L6's are just....well makes me close my eyes and think sweet beautiful music. Metallica never sounded so good on my DR tremoverb.

I went with the high gain set in my Rec and the max headroom set in my 20/20 and love all of them. I might try something else when I retube, but only for the sake of trying something new, not because these are bad. Good Luck
