I had loaded a Marshall cabinet with a set of these after a set of 75's went south after years of hard playing. I tend to like the Texas Heats. The are a fairly smooth sounding pickup in that they don't really promote one frequency over another. They handle anything a guitar amp can throw at them. The bass is tight and thumps well, the mids allow a good cut, and the highs stay bright. It took mine about 3 months of regular hard playing at rehearsal volume to break in though. I had run a varying signal through them (ipod on random) at about 85-90W(almost full tilt on a Marshall Super lead) for 4 days and they still needed a few months to fully break in.
