Emi Black Shadow - Recone or Replace?

My Emi Black Shadow is making a scratching sound. Something rubbing together? Not sure.

Opinions please: Is it worth it to get it re-coned or should I buy something else/new?

If you choose buy something, please offer suggestions.

I am going to have a Thiele w/an EVM 12L running with it also.

the scratching i think means the voice coil has lost it's shape and is rubbing.

I had it tested and it seems fine. I have some kind of cab/mechanical problem
