I need another reverb unit understand that the E/H Holy Grail is a good choice. I have noted that there are two out there to choose from. Holy Grail and Holy Grail Plus. I will be using this in conjunction with a Stiletto Ace and Marshall DSL 401 if that makes any differnce. Opinions on both pedal versions are welcome please.

Thanks,

depends on the type of reverb your after and the amp it goes with.... mine always sounded great with my jc120 and and the clean in the rectoverb i had.... never really liked it with a high gain channel.... i much prefered a nice tc unit even though theyre digital... to me digital reverb fits better with high gain..... with that said i'm looking to unload my holy grail if your interested... pm me and we can discuss a price

t.c. ? Interesting.... I'll look into that. Thanks,

Just an FYI.. the holy grail had some serious quality issues when I was looking into it... horrible caps that squeal and make tons of noise, etc.

yeah tc puts out some great products with great reverbs and delays.... i know a lot of guys on here use the gmajor ..... i was using the m300 which is a very simple, great sounding rack unit...... very transparent and sounded great with many of my boogies..... they also just released the same great tc reverbs in a pedal form (i believe its called the nova reverb)...... outside of eventide tc has some of the greatest reverbs ive heard

The Holy Grail is digital too...

I didnt keep mine. I didnt like it with my Triple Rec, I didnt really use it much for clean sounds, but wanted a touch of reverb for my leads and it didnt sound good to me and kind of colored the tone.

I could not afford the $600.00 fender out-board unit, so i settled on the Holy Grail !
To my ears it is worth every $ !!!

Again, like stated above, it depends what type of 'verb you re after !

I've done quite a bit of seraching on thisd issue myself and I wound up going with the Holy Grail for simplicity and tone. The key i found is to run the unit in the FX loop of the amp. THIS IS WHAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!!!!! Spring setting on the unit at about 11 o'clock running in the FX loop of my DR with the return set at about 90% and i'm in Fender type reverb heaven. The holy Grail is digital by the way and mine is ABSOLUTELY QUIET!!!!!! Another pedal type unit you might want to consider is the T-Rex Roommate. Very natural sounding reverb but way more money compared to the HG.

I just got a Holy Grail Plus and love it so far. I'm running it in the FX loop of my MKIV with an Eventide TimeFactor.

Any noise ishoo's ?

I was told that the PLUS has some noise at extreme settings or when the amp is cranked !
And the better value could be found in the "regular" Holy Grail !

I have been running the plus in my Stiletto's effects loop for weeks and noise has not been an issue.
