EL34 Installed today I posted that the Express 550 sounded better than the Mark a few days ago I found the Mark to be tinny noisey at one point I turned it on one morning and it sounded like an explosion It seems to be the tubes causing all the problems and noise So I put out for a new set of tubes yesterday EL34 and 7 Tung Sol 12Ax7's like 250.00 Bucks for an amp I have owned a week anyways this now sounds amazing no more noise. As I was saying before I got a Mark V head signed by john petrucci what I didn't know is it was used for his guitar clinic and was shipped from another store that it had been sitting out on the floor I would think that test pilots that came in screwed with the settings and probily screwed up the amp so I'm the one that has to pay for this seems unfair But I'm very happy with the sound now
