I'm going out to another fx/amp unit and want an output whose volume doesn't change as the Slave out is subject to the amp volume and mute functions)... Other than the volume difference (about 10db), what are the differences between the Tuner Out and the Effects Send? Would I get a "better" sound using the Tuner Out and having the effect loop bypassed (even though I'm not using a return)... still need to be able to use the solo boost...?

thanks

I believe that the tuner send is just your guitar as in before the preamp. I did not look at a schematic but I don't think that the tuner output is going to do what you would like.

If you plug into the effects send the amp will want a return. The effects send will send a signal but your amp will be quiet without a return. YOu need a return to send to the power stage of the Mark V.

As for the sound of your amp with the effects loop bypassed... IMO.... Not really but that is "In My Opinion". I have a pretty complex rig and I am not getting a grasp on what you are trying to do?

What is your goal?

Here is what I have...dated ...it has changed a bit....
