I can get my hands on this I need ur input first....

TC electronics G major + Axess MFC5 midi footswitch FS: I have a G major rackmountable effects unit for sale (delay, compressor, chorus, flanger, echo, pitch shifter, reverb, tuner, noise gate) all in this unit. I also have a midi footswitch that allows you to control the G major or any other midi compatible effects unit. I am asking $550 for both items or 450$ for the G major and 150$ for the footswitch alone. Both items are in great conditions. (the MFC5 has velcro underneat for your pedal board). I can provide pictures if asked.

what do you guys think?

Well the G-major is not a good deal, you can get them for $499 brand new, usually pick them up used on ebay from $300 to $350. I am not sure about the Axess MFC5 midi footswitch as I cant find much information in it.

Well that helps, what is the exchange rate latley? I mean if it equals to about $375 to $400 United states currency for the whole setup I say go for it.

would the pod xt live be a good choice...I can my hands on one tonight for really cheap

well I bought the G major but I dont have a clue how to plug it in...any ideas guys?

First, go to the TC electronic website and download the manual. If you have the manual and can't figure it out, this is the basic setup.
DR effects loop send to the mono input on the Gmajor, then mono output on gmajor to effects loop return on your DR.
The DR has a parallel effects loop so you are going to want to turn on the kill/dry function on the gmajor. I did a series loop mod to my DC5 because the parallel effects loop just sounds weird with the gmajor. You may want to do this if the Kill/Dry function doesn't work for you.

thank you very much but I have another problem....I didnt buy the footswitch since I was pretty sure something was wrong with it. The seller was trying to hide something so I just left it there. Do you know any good footswitch that will work with the G major

I got a Behringer fcb1010 foot controller that works very well with the gmajor. I found it used at a local guitar store and traded an EQ that I hadn't used in 10 years for it. I think they go for about $150 new.

I found one on ebay for 156.93$

Is it really hard to set up with my rig?

Sorry for all the question but this is my first rack and I'm doing my best

Im still new at this myself. It was a little confusing at first but I quickly was able to change patches and set up one of the expression pedals as a volume pedal which is what I was looking for. You can do a ton more with it but I haven't had time to mess with it much.

Also, don't forget the gmajor will change the channels on your DR so you can go from a dry metal tone to an effects laden clean sound with the press of 1 pedal.

The G Major switching the Dual Rec isn't a good idea if it's a 3 channel version. The switching jacks on the G Major share a common ground, and the DR 3 channel uses individual grounds for the switching system. It's okay on the 2 channel heads, because they share a ground for the switching.

This is getting confusing...I'm running my Furman PQ3 from the front of my amp (the input for the guitar)

Do I leave it like this or can I set something up with the G Major

I would never run an EQ in front of the amp,but to each their own. You could try using the parametric EQ that is in the Gmajor and ditching the Furman or try running the Furman after the Gmajor in the loop.
