dual recto and el34M(6CA7)

any problem using this tube i notice it has an extra pin compared to my regular el34 tubes.

I have ran it for about 2-3 hours with no problem. they are the GT brand rated at 6. my powertubes started to go yesterday and we were recording so the nearest store was guitar center in Toldeo, and all they had was GT el-34M(6CA7's)

hmmmm an extra pin you say. I would call an expert at mesa or something. I have electro harmonix in my dual recto and there ´s no extra pin.

i have already spoken to GT about this.


the extra pin is not hooked up to anything, its just there for extra grip on the socket.

i use the el34 with the xf2 getter in the plate. which is supposedly really special.

I have never used that... is that really different as far as sound? I prefer 6L6's...
