I have seen several 3 Channel Dual Rectifiers on the web with Voodoo Amp mods (I currently own one). Any thoughts on these Mods? Noticeable difference? I believe most have the standard mod done on them as does mine. Can the amp be modded back to it's original specs?

Thanks!

It may or may not be able to be brought back to stock values easily. I only say this because some companies that mod amps have a tendency to try and be mysterious and apply an opaque silicon caulk to cover up their secret mod or shoddy work. Not saying yours was treated in that manner. I would say open it up and have a look at the board. If you can see componants and the only silicon caulk on the board is applied sparingly to some of the larger capacitors(shock resistance /secures componants to the board so nothing breaks), and your amp's circuit board doesn't look like someone iced the board with caulk like they were making a cake, you should be able to return it to stock.

Ok. Thanks for the information. After doing some research it is my understanding that this mod is completely reversible. I have heard stories like you mentioned about mods being covered up. Looks like this is not the case and or if they are, they can be reversed. Thanks again!

No problem. Not sure what was done to your amp, but have fun comparing components in the amp to a schematic. I was working on a guys 5150 last week that he said was making some sort of high pitched squeal and could not play through it. It was fine at my house. After checking the usual suspects in tube amp problems, I had to check out each single component, and all the molex connectors etc.. It took me like 4 days to go through the whole amp complete enough to figure out the amp was fine. After a second phone conversation I figured out his problem was not his amp, but his pedals. On one of his pedals one of the jacks had started to come loose which caused the squealing he heard. He didn't even try out another guitar, or troubleshoot before he brought it to me. At least I was paid for the job.
