dual rec. help please

I noticed on the back of my dual rec it says

Send - send level
mix level - return

and then it has a switch with

loop bypass
loop on orange & red
orange auto
red auto
external footswitch


and on my v-amp2 it has on it

aux in

left output / right output.. and a regular imput... can someone instruct me on how to set it up that this only works on my cleans for the mesa i just need to use the reverb on this preamp.

Send Level: start around 1:00, adjust for no vol loss
Return Mix: adjust to taste...higher setting makes the FX more dominant.

FX Loop switch: Auto orange (ALWAYS on when orange channel is selected) or Footswitch so you can turn it on/off.

Amp FX send > v-amp input, v-amp left out > amp FX return

No experience with the V-amp, but as with any processor, you will want its input level about halfway up, output a bit more than half, bypass all the preamp and cab simulators, and set any FX mix controls to 100% wet.
