I'm looking at picking up a used Dual Rec. I have the serial # s50-03829. Can anyone tell me what year (approx) this was made. Just looking for more info about it before I buy it.

I've never heard of a dual rectifier with a number like that.. Every rectifier that i've ever seen has had a serial # that looks somethink like this "R00394." The ones i've seen start with an R and then are followed by a number. It doesn't mean that the serial number you gave is incorrect...i just have never seen one like that before...has anyone else?

That makes sense with s50 being s=single rec and 50= a 50 watt designation.

I was in a guitar center the other day and they had some single rectifiers in the store so I check the serial numbers. The serial numbers for the single rectifiers start off with "s50"...
