DRG C+ fix itself?

Greetings everyone! Ya know, I've reached a pinnacle in my life where I would like to know and understand some things before I leave this ******, broken planet soon. One in particular is that I purchased a factory DRG C+ in 1984. Suddenly my Simul Class switch when engaged kicks ***! Never has it behaved like this. The past 37 years or so, when ever I turned it on, I barely noticed any increase in anything. I have no idea what I did. Feels like I've been ripped off, deprived all of those yesrs. Can someone try to explain what happened under the hood? Blessings, be safe.

A major increase in volume. Tone? Eh. There is a long story with my amp.

Is the amp still stock?Ever had the filter caps changed?

Yes. I replaced every electrolytic cap in it. Filter caps.....etc two years ago. Yes its still original. It has had some repairing done to it over the years but no mods. Thanks, Jim
