If your looking for that tinny nu-metal tone with the mids totally swept out, then this is probably not the head for you - go buy a new dual/triple-rec with the 1,000's of switches on the front and/or a pod.

Mesa Dual Rectifier (Pre-500)
Serial Number: R-002821
ah....
2821 is after 500
This was his reply:
per Wikipedia it would be R-0506 or older. The article assumes
that the serials from that time are all one letter, a dash, and 6 digits.
If all pre-500 heads were of the first 500 made and in working condition,
then the price would for sure be much, much higher. In other words, pre
500 doesn't mean that last three digits have to be less than 500, but that
last 5 digits are less than 50601.
Either very ill informed or trying to twist reality to gain a personal advantage. I'm not sure which.
I replied stating I begged to differ and gave him the link to Miguels page on the DR.
So far no response. We'll see if he comes around.
He's a good man!!
I totally stand corrected and shamed for the ignorance of my Boogie.
It appears that this head falls into the 'Revision G' category and is a
