Do you guys feel the Triaxis is a bit on the highs?

I love my TZ, but I feel I get way more highs then lows. Here is friend using a MArk IV and that is kinda the tone I am looking for:

I dont want to put and EQ in my Rack as I just want to be able to use the TA and my 20/20 stereo amp. I have all new tubes in the 20/20 as it was used the and TA was brand new.

Here is my rack I am running right now. Any suggestions on settings to get that tone above or more lows out of her would be much appreciated. Also what other Modes would you recommend for that. Thanks! :)

Furman, X2 Wireless, G-Force, 20/20 and the TA using two boogie 4x12's

Sorry for the big pic ;)

It's the X2 wireless...trust me I've owned one...it allows the highs to pass through easier...try w/o it or lower presence and treble to compensate

Try reducing the high/treble and the Dynamic Voice. The DV was mainly made to be used with the LD2 modes (mark IV, IIC+, and III mode ).

If you're going for the IV voicing, try the LD2 modes since they're the mark IV, C+ and III. If you're using LD1 Red, it's the classic boogie lead or british shred, whatever they're calling it now.

If after tweaking away you still find it's too bright, you can consider the factory presence/bright mod to reduce it a bit.

Thanks guys, Yeah DA and Pushead both said the same thing. I have for my cleans the gain at 0.0 and that the power amp is pushing too hard then. So I guess I need to raise the gain on the cleans and lower the power amp :)

Is your triaxis a new version? The new versions have such a harsh abrasive nasty high end chirp characteristic to them. I hate them. Old is where it's at haha

yeah I have a brand new one.

Looks like I am gonna sell the 20/20 even though I love the stereo effect with my G-Force and get a 2:90. Just makes sense from my friends have at the ESP board told me about theres and the deep/other features. Thanks!

trust your ears and dont worry about the settings....i have many channels on my triaxis set up with the treble on "0", presence on "0" and the presence on my 20/20 set at 3-4. That may be strange to some folks but i just keep tweaking until i get it sounding right to my ears.

I just got a 2:90 and man it totally beefed up my tone. Love it a lot more than the 20/20 I was running with it
