Do many people still say that the Mark IV's lead was better?

I haven't played a IV extensively, and I've never played a V side by side with one. (The only V I've played is the one I bought, and I bought it without playing it. Yep.) It seemed that when the V first came out, many IV owners claimed that channel 3 paled in comparison to the IV's lead channel. Now it seems that more people think the V really does nail the IV (and IIC+) tones, or, if it doesn't, it offers something just as good.

What do you think?

(And sorry if this topic has been done to death I just haven't seen it.)
