Do all Mark III's say "mark III" on them somewhere

someone is advertising a mark III and it doesn't say it anywhere on the amp.
how can I tell if it's the real deal?

Best tell-tale: all the pots in front should be push-pull.

it is probably an early one. i have a mark III black dot that doesn't say mark III on it anywhere.

I have a 1989 mk3 which says Mesa Boogie on the front decal and mk3 on the front panel and has a green stripe by the power cord. I also have an 1986 mk3 with just Boogie on the front decal and no mk 3 decal this is a mauve stripe. See this link http://homepage.mac.com/mesaboogie/dot.html

I have one of the very first ones made. It does not say MK III anywere on the amp or back.

My '85 purple doesn't say Mark III on it. Check the back of the amp for a 1/4' plug for the Rhythm 2 footswitch, too.

The midrange knob will pull for Rhythm 2 only on a mark III
