Hello, I have a '99 triple rec 2ch, with 6L6s. I recently replaced the send volume pot, so I am anxious to try the fx loop. From what I can find I have several options. My biggest problem is that my noise filter is part of the fx unit.
The Mess manual is somewhat helpful, but I'm really new to a rig as nice as this. Basically I want the true mesa sound, AND use the fx, because of the noise filter.
What I started with was running through the input jack like normal, on the clean channel, running the tri rec sim, and a cab sim on the rp360. The sound is HUGE.. but... digital huge.. not "Mesa huge".
I know I can run the rp360 in the fx loop. But.. that bto asses the Mesa preamp, right? Also, I shouldn't use any amp/cab sim in the loop.
What Im doing right now: running guitar to pedal. Pedal out to fx return. So that means I am only using the power section, right?
What I want:
-true mesa tube tone
- clean channel available
-noise filter for red channel
ANY help will be appreciated.
