I like the Extreme mode a lot! For my ears it's a great next step in the Mark series lead mode evolution. I do mess around with the IIC+ and IV modes occasionally but Channel 3 of my MkV is usually set to Extreme mode and 90 watts, and the gain might be set anywhere from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock depending what I'm looking to get out of it. This is actually my favorite Mark series lead mode yet!

yeah mate! Extreme is the right name for it too!

As heavy as Ch3/Extreme can get it's also great for lower gain lead tones as well. It can be made to sound quite warm and polite without losing any of the harmonic content. Extreme = extremely flexible!

Damn, I REALLY need to give this mode a chance!!

I'm on Mark IV most of the time, and have also grown to love C+, need to take a nice vacation with Extreme mode and see how we bond.

I've been singing the praise's of the extreme mode for almost a year now. I really believe some folks don't give it a fair shot and spend enough time on it.

For me, it's clear, versatile, and grinds! Plus it cuts through a mix with some real attitude!

But hey, all three modes on channel 3 are killer in their own right!

I really need to spend some more time with Extreme mode, I have mostly been hanging on Mark IV and a lil bit on C+

Ch.3/Extreme sounds really great at low gain settings!
