I hear people classifying their power amp as an older or newer 2:ninety, but I don't know what that means. Can someone be kind enough to explain if there are any differences? (I was unsuccessful with the search function.)

I'm probably wrong, but I think the difference was just cosmetic parts placement (fuses etc.)...

Older ones have a blue light. Newer ones have red lights. There are some other internal differences but i know that they sound exactly the same.

The older ones have black knobs, a hardwired AC cable, Blue power LED, no ground lift switches, and the fan is on right (looking from the back):

The newer ones have chrome knobs, red power LED, removable IEC power cable, ground lift switches, reconfigured I/O/mode ports, and the fan is on the left:

As far as I know they're the same internally. Would have been a good time to add an adjustable bias supply. But oh well, I already did that...
