difference between older dual rectos and the newer rectos

Hello all, its been a while since ive been on this forum, ive actually come across a decent deal on a
2 channel dual recto from the 90's. If I remember correctly some say that these are prefered in some ways to the later dual rectos. I remember lots of talk about this on this forum a couple years ago but cant easily find any info or advise now.

Im just looking for a quick comparison, better or worse either way. Opinions

I'd put the older 2 channel models between the Roadster and 3 channel....a little more open and organic, but brighter than the Roadster.
