hey thx for explaining. I have some questions:
1. what right angled plugs do you use? (the one that is plugged to the gcx front buffer input)
2. why don't you connect a cable from your guitar straight to the front buffer input? why do you connect it from the rear?

the plugs are neutrik and they are discontinued. the best place to find them is ebay. they are very heavy duty. i do run my guitar into the front buffered input of the GCX. you have to come out of it to go into a loop or they won't work.
