So I've got the DC with the speaker mute (of course). If I enable that, but leave the speaker connected, I assume everything is quiet but I can record out of the slave out? If so, that's only the preamp, not the power amp too, correct?

I've got a Palmer PDI-09 to connect to it, so perhaps I can get a good tone going there.

From what I can see in the manual, you can use that out to a console with the speaker on or off, so I believe that you are correct.

The slave out captures the power section in the signal as well. If you were to hook up to your FX send, however, that would be just your preamp signal.

Oh so it does capture the power amp....cool. that's a good thing, because I think that definitely adds to what makes an amp sound the way it does.
