DC-5 Footswitch help!!!

When i bought my DC-5, it came iwtha no name brand single button footswitch. This does the job sorta, but i would liek the ability to switch the EQ on and off as well. I have a few TRS splitters and can run a couple different switchs i can run. Will a TRS splitter work out of the footswitch jack? Run two cords and two switchs. i guess i could break down and by the standard switch. But part of me is cheap i guess. Any info would be great.

I dont think the splitters will work but I think you can try it without hurting anything . You can pick up the proper footswitch for that amp used sometimes for under 20 bucks
