hey there...i'm trying to run my dc-5 with a line 6 hd500. to complicate matters, i also have a carvin tube power amp and a boogie extension cab i'm trying to fit in as well, for the stereo goodness. i'm seeing all kinds of recommendations to use the 4 cable method (4CM) to run the hd500 with the dc-5, but it's not working for me. i'm losing a lot of boogie tone, and i'm not getting stereo effects from the hd500.
in the past i've run the dc-5 with a tc electronics g major - i ran one output of the g major into the dc-5 loop, and the other g major output into the carvin/extension cab combo and it sounded GREAT, true stereo, and i was able to run pedals in front of the dc-5. i'm not getting this with the hd500.
anyone running a dc-5 and the hd 500? got any tips for the 4CM? when i use the 4CM it seems i lose a lot of dc-5 functionality as well - i can't switch the dc-5 EQ in and out...
thanks...
